The 'missing' pmc file could be because Windows is trying to protect you!

Before unzipping the file, right-click it in Explorer, selected 'Properties', tick the 'Unblock' checkbox bottom-right, and then OK.

Then unzip the file and try again...
I tried --> no change

Not a problem, we can do the setup manually:

1. 'Filter > Filter... '
2. 'Display entries matching these conditions > Process Name > is > ToDoList.exe'
3. 'Add'
4. 'OK'
5. Select only 'Show File System Activity' (for now)

What is your favorite format (PML, CSV, XML) ? Should I include "profiling events" ?

PML is best so that I can load it back into ProcMon for viewing.

The file is too large to be attached, you can dowload it here : https://send.firefox.com/download/f6e32 ... Dkn0Toq6BQ

Crash time : 10:35

That's awesome thanks.

ps. Because it will contain information about your file system you might want to consider removing the file now...
pps. Did you mean 'Crash time : 6:35' because that's when the log ends?

Interestingly, right near the end of the log is a line indicating a network error, the only such error in the entire log:

6:34:50.8878401 PM ToDoList.exe 16496 ReadFile \\...\ToDoList\ToDoList.exe NETWORK ERROR Offset: 421,888, Length: 24,576, I/O Flags: Non-cached, Paging I/O, Synchronous Paging I/O, Priority: Normal

So the next thing to do is to see if we can reproduce it.

First, however, add 'Display entries matching these conditions > Result > is not > SUCCESS' to the filter (Filter > Filter...) as this will reduce the size of the log file and allow you to zip it up and attach here...

Probably (because of time zones) as the last record logged was at crash time approximately.

Here it is.

Okay, so the same error occurs just before the end of the log which makes concurs with your argument that the NAS is involved.

1:39:15.7186955 AM ToDoList.exe 6940 ReadFile \\...\ToDoList\ToDoList.exe NETWORK ERROR Offset: 135,168, Length: 4,096, I/O Flags: Non-cached, Paging I/O, Synchronous Paging I/O, Priority: Normal

What's not clear is whether the network error is in response to a software request made by TDL for a file, or whether the network error was in response to Windows trying to access TDL off the NAS.

Might be worth running ProcMon again but this time also logging network activity to see if that provides more insight...
